NextStep 9.0 is a Module (Ambulatory) EHR certified product that is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC‐ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NextStep 9.0 EHR Module (Ambulatory) Holds Certificate No. 07022015‐2076‐5 Date Certified: 07/02/2015 & Effective Date: 2014 Edition.  The modules tested include: 170.314 (a)(2, 3, 5‐11, 13‐15, 18); (b)(1‐4, 7); (c)(1‐3); (d)(1‐8); (e)(1‐3); (g)(2‐4) The Clinical Quality Measures tested included: 2v4; 68v4; 69v3; 128v3; 136v4; 137v3; 138v3; 147v4; 156v3; 159v3; 160v3; 161v3; 169v3; 177v3. Additional software used: Digital Rx, EMR Direct phiMail and PopHealth.

NextStep 9.0 certified product-version requires a one-time cost plus monthly support and maintenance fees (per provider). This includes NextStep 9.0, updates, licensing setup, training and customer support. Additional products required are Digital Rx, EMR Direct phiMail and PopHealth. NextStep is web based software and can be accessed using your basic internet browser from any computer, tablet or laptop.

If other systems or technology are needed to meet an organization’s requirements for meaningful use or meet the organizations requirements for the scope of functionality, onetime additional costs and monthly support fees may apply.

This certified product-version may require ongoing monthly costs to support online patient portal service (170.314.e.1). Patient portal service allows patients to view their health information online as well as download and transmit a summary of their healthcare information to a third party electronically. The ongoing monthly cost is a flat rate per provider facility. This certified product-version may require ongoing monthly costs to support secure messaging (170.314.e.3). Secure Messaging allows patients to communicate to their healthcare providers electronically. This certified product-version may require a onetime fee and or ongoing monthly costs to support Data Portability (170.314.b.7). Data portability allows patients to create files in the standardized sharable format CCDA. (170.314.b.1 and 170.314.b.2) allows for direct messaging between provider staff and patient. This requires a onetime cost with monthly support and maintenance fee per user with a volume utilization cost assessed per month. (170.314.b.3) e-Prescribe allows licensed providers to send electronic prescriptions. There is a onetime cost and monthly support fee per provider per month.
